Oxfam alongside its partner organizations has developed a resource pack on community-based protection (CBP) titled, ‘From Participation to Leadership.’ The goal of the resource is to provide guidance on the implementation of CBP across a full program cycle and to share experiences directly from protection organizations and members of community protection structures from organizations around the world.
This case study report, focusing on adaptive humanitarian action in the Democratic Republic of Congo, highlights the landscape of humanitarian action in DRC, as well as what flexible, adaptive action looks like in this context, drawing out several relevant connections to Results-Based Protection.
Throughout May and June 2015, the InterAction Results-Based Protection Program carried out several interviews, hosted an online discussion forum, and held a series of webinars with guest speakers on the development of protection strategies across different contexts.
On July 21st the M&E Thursday Talk series was hosted by Tom Gillhespy & Laura Thisted of Peace Direct who led a discussion on Putting the Local First: Learning to adapt when measuring change. This report aims to show how the M&E reporting of local partners to donor organizations helps or hinders how programming can deal with changing contexts.
