Prior to joining InterAction, Noah worked for the U.N. Verification Mission in Chocó, Colombia as a field officer and ethnic communities liaison. He has also worked as a researcher on ethnic rights issues with the Accountability Research Center at American University.
Noah graduated with a PhD from American University’s School of International Service. His research focuses on Afro-Colombian collective organizing in the Colombian Pacific, seeking to understand how community self-protection and advocacy mechanisms shaped local trajectories of the 2016 Colombian peace accord. He has published articles for the U.N. and World Bank, the Latin American Research Review, Colombia Internacional, and others on grassroots protection mechanisms, ethnic rights in peacebuilding, and Afro-colombian land rights.
Noah’s favorite birds he’s seen are toucans and puffins. His goals include starting a jam band and learning how to make mole.
